About Towards Future

Towards Future is a non-profit development organization working on child rights and women rights issues with a special focus on Child Education. The organization is working currently in some areas of four districts (Nadia – Kalyani Municipality, North & South 24 Parganas – Rajarhat block and Vangar II block and Birbhoom – Rajnagar block) of West Bengal. All projects of Towards Future have been set up accordingly.

Projects

Through its different projects, Towards Future tries to provide educational support to the children at pre-primary and primary level, so that the children can read, write and express their learning in their mother tongue. Along with that, Towards Future tries to enrich them with information about their basic rights by which they can ensure their secured life by exercising their knowledge on their rights. Towards Future conducts awareness generation programs against women atrocities. Towards Future believes that “Together We Can Achieve.”

Approach

Towards Future provides its services through two different ways: First, as a service provider; Second, as an agency on advocacy. The organization believes that success lies in the active participation of all its stakeholders. It tries to include all its stakeholders in its different programs. With the support of Wipro, Towards Future is working for the children of migrant laborers working in brick kilns. Currently, we are working in three brick kilns (UBW, TBM and Tarak). These brick kilns are located at Rajarhat block (UBW) of North 24 Parganas and Vangar II Block (TBM and Tarak) of South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal.
